On Thursday, June 27, 2013, I will be joining some of my friends from the NFL, NBA, PGA and Major League Baseball to host the Steve Young Mountain Classic at Red Ledges Golf Club near Park City, Utah. The funds raised by this event will benefit Forever Young Foundation and Sophie's Place at Primary Children's Hospital.
In 1993, I established the Forever Young Foundation to support community projects and non-profit organizations effectively serving the therapeutic and academic needs of seriously ill and underprivileged children. We are proud to introduce a new project called Sophie's Place. Sophie's Place, named in memory of our friend Sophie Barton, will fund music therapy rooms in hospitals to create awareness of the power of music to aid healing. Our first Sophie's Place is to be built at Primary Children's Hospital.
We have included an information sheet identifying the sponsorships available. Following is a tentative schedule for the day's events:
8:00 a.m. Breakfast & Registration
9:00 a.m. Celebrity Putting Contest
10:00 a.m. Shotgun Start
3:00 p.m. Prizes & Buffet
6:30 p.m. Park City Mountain Resort Activities
