Delta's SkyWishTM Selects "Forever Young" as Charity of the Quarter

ATLANTA, Oct. 25, 2001 -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) and its SkyMiles frequent flyer program have designated the Forever Young Foundation as its SkyWishTM Charity of the Quarter recipient for the fourth quarter of 2001.
Forever Young was founded by former San Francisco 49er's quarterback Steve Young in 1993.

Forever Young provides academic and athletic opportunities to seriously ill, underprivileged and at-risk children. One way children benefit is through "Forever Young Zones", which include interactive rooms with computers and state-of-the-art audio and video equipment to entertain and educate. The Zones are used for recreational therapy in children's hospitals as well as a resource for inner-city youth who visit the NFL's Youth Education Town Centers throughout the United States.

"Forever Young's contributions to strengthening children's physical and emotional growth are a great service to the community", said Christine Pierce, director of Relationship and Interactive Marketing for Delta. The opportunities and benefits Steve and his foundation offer are consistent with the mission of Delta's charitable SkyWish program.

"I am grateful to Delta for their commitment and leadership in helping children, said Young. Being included in the SkyWish program will greatly enhance our ability to bless the lives of children in need."

Miles donated to Forever Young will be used to transport children to medical facilities or academic and athletic therapeutic camps. For more information on Forever Young, go to foreveryoung.org.

SkyMiles members may donate miles to Forever Young via SkyWish through Dec. 31, 2001. There is a 5,000-mile minimum donation, and Delta will boost each donation by adding 1,000 miles for every 5,000 miles contributed.
